About Melissa
Melissa Presley has pursued a career in information technology, building on an early interest in technology that began around age six. She recently completed her associate's degree from DeVry, which formalized skills she has long applied by assisting others with phone and laptop troubleshooting. In her current role, she works through Working Solutions on the A Place for Mom program to help families find senior housing placements. She also serves as a TurboTax product expert during tax season, a position she has held for six to seven months. Earlier, she earned her CNA credential before graduating high school. During high school, Melissa served as president of HOSA and was a member of FFA. She credits her entry into the field to being the go-to person for technology issues among friends and family, and she values staying consistent and motivated with a clear sense of purpose.

01What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Just staying consistent and motivated. You need to have something that motivates you to get up and go to work every morning. You can't just go through life not having purpose and expect to be able to go somewhere and earn a decent income.
