Her Interview

Ten minutes with Melissa

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to discipline, consistency, and believing in myself. Today, I'm focused on doing meaningful work, continuing to grow, and showing up with integrity in everything I do. I've learned that success isn't about following someone else's definition or meeting society's expectations; it's about creating a life and career that align with your values, your purpose, and the impact you want to make.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I've ever received is not to let fear stand in the way of what's possible. Fear can keep us from moving forward not only in our careers, but in life. Some of the greatest growth opportunities come when we're willing to move beyond our comfort zones and trust ourselves, even when the outcome isn't certain.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Believe in yourself, even when others don't fully understand your vision. Find a mentor whose journey inspires you, and don't be afraid to reach out and learn from their experience. Build a community of people who encourage your growth and challenge you to become your best. Not everyone in your immediate circle will understand the path you're choosing, and that's okay. Your journey is uniquely yours, and the people who are meant to support it will find you along the way.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

Whether in executive operations or travel, one constant is change. Priorities shift, unexpected challenges arise, and clients need someone they can trust to adapt quickly and think ahead. In the travel industry especially, global events, economic changes, and evolving regulations require advisors to stay informed and provide steady guidance. I believe one of the greatest opportunities in my field is helping clients feel confident and supported, no matter what changes come their way.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Balance is one of the values I hold most closely, both personally and professionally. I believe success is most meaningful when it allows you to build a life that reflects your priorities and brings you a sense of fulfillment. For me, that means creating space for both meaningful work and personal experiences that inspire growth, joy, and well-being. When your life is aligned with your values, you're able to show up more fully for yourself and for the people you serve.
