What do you attribute your success to?
My journey began in the corporate world, where I built a strong foundation in marketing and communications, but I eventually felt called to pursue something more personal and transformative, which led me to the beauty industry. For me, beauty is not only about aesthetics but also about empowering others, inspiring change, and leading with empathy. With an educational background in Opera from Jackson University, I gained valuable lessons in emotional intelligence and communication, learning how to connect with audiences across cultures and languages. That training sharpened my creativity, expressiveness, and ability to tell stories, build brands, and form meaningful relationships. It also enhanced my capacity to think outside the box and to recognize subtle cues in body language and voice, skills that allow me to create authentic and impactful connections in business and beyond.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve ever received is that true leadership begins with listening. A great leader is always willing to learn, practices humility, and leads with understanding and empathy. These qualities not only make me a stronger leader but also guide how I approach both my professional and personal life.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering the industry is to remember that we all share a common language: prosperity and love. It is important to lead by example and to embrace the principle of "each one teach one." Mentorship plays a vital role in growth, and I am grateful for a great leader who encouraged me to step into management early in my career, inspiring me to aim higher and push further. Always remember that you are only as strong as your weakest link, so lift others as you rise and invest in building a culture of support and growth.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
As a shamanic healer and businesswoman, I see AI as a powerful tool rather than a replacement for the human touch. While AI can streamline operations and enhance efficiency, true healing, transformation, and leadership require presence, intuition, and empathy. The greatest opportunity lies in integrating AI thoughtfully so it supports our work without replacing the deeply human connection that is essential to personal growth and meaningful impact.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values most important to me in both my work and personal life are listening, humility, and continuous learning. I believe leadership means acknowledging that you do not have all the answers, surrounding yourself with experts, and remaining open to new ideas. I am committed to developing others and giving back, which I practice through community involvement and mentorship. Along my journey, I have been honored to receive a Presidential Award from Time Warner and a Sales Achievement Award at Estée Lauder. More importantly, I take pride in raising funds for causes I care about and bringing people together to support transformation and healing, which I consider the greatest reward of all.
