Melody Young

Melody Young serves as an Accounting Manager at Genuine Parts Company in Atlanta, Georgia, where she has spent the past 10 years building her career in accounting. She manages two teams with direct reports who are accounting supervisors and oversees cash management for the company and its subsidiaries, along with day-to-day general ledger accounting and month-end close processes. Currently, she is involved in a major project carving out a portion of the business to form a separate public company. Melody holds a bachelor's degree in business administration with a focus in accounting and later earned a master's degree in accounting to strengthen her expertise. She is a member of Women in Technology (WIT), a lifetime member of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority Incorporated, and recently joined an accounting professional group. Outside of work, she participates in community service through Sigma Gamma Rho, including March of Dimes, autism awareness events, and teaching swim classes, as well as coordinating volunteer days with Habitat for Humanity and other initiatives at her company.
