Her Story
About Melynda
When I was in college, I wanted to be a physical therapist but transferred schools and got into education through coaching middle school girls basketball for the City of Bel Air Parks and Recreation. My grandma was in education, which inspired me. I got my alternative certification and started coaching volleyball, basketball, and track. Over 18 years, I've taught special education, been head coach, department head, assistant principal, and now co-athletic coordinator at Fort Bend ISD after returning to the district. I earned my principal certification and a master's in business administration sports management.
