What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to growing up in a happy, loving family. My father, a pastor, taught me to love and respect everyone, and those lessons have guided me throughout my life and career.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve ever received is to have clear expectations but always be there for others. It’s important to set boundaries and goals while still showing compassion and support to those around you.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges in my field is that, working for the state, sometimes our hands are tied, and we aren’t able to help as many families as we would like. Despite these limitations, I find it incredibly rewarding to support people through difficult situations and make a positive impact whenever possible.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The most important value to me, both in my work and personal life, is the ability to advocate for others. I strive to support and empower my staff, ensuring they have the resources, guidance, and encouragement they need to succeed.
