Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to genuinely caring about my clients and taking the time to listen to them. I believe this work cannot be done effectively for a paycheck alone, because clients are often going through some of the most difficult moments of their lives and depend on me for guidance in deeply personal matters affecting their homes, finances, families, and futures. I prioritize empathy and communication over billing-driven approaches, because truly understanding my clients is what allows me to serve them well.

Q

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I’ve ever received is to always lead with honesty, integrity, and a commitment to doing what I believe is right. Early in my career, my father also gave me invaluable guidance before a major meeting with senior executives. He reminded me to see everyone simply as another person with everyday challenges and responsibilities, and not to be intimidated by titles or status. He also emphasized that while preparation is essential, my role was not to simply agree with everything, but to provide honest, professional input. That advice has stayed with me and continues to guide how I approach my work with confidence and integrity.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women entering this field is to be confident in your abilities, don’t be afraid to question the status quo, and never give up on yourself. In practice, especially as a woman in family law, you may feel pressure to either stay quiet or risk being mislabeled when you’re assertive, but you don’t have to choose between strength and compassion. You can be firm, confident, and professional while still being kind and empathetic, and that balance is what earns lasting respect.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest challenges in my field right now is managing the many roles the work requires. In addition to providing legal guidance, you often find yourself supporting clients emotionally, helping them navigate financial decisions, and guiding them through some of the most stressful periods of their lives. It really comes down to juggling multiple responsibilities at once while still delivering clear, effective representation.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values most important to me in both my work and personal life are honesty and integrity. I often remind myself that life is much simpler when you tell the truth, and that maintaining integrity means doing what you say you will do and being someone others can rely on. I also value loyalty, compassion, and respect—treating everyone consistently and with fairness regardless of their situation. Ultimately, I believe that being honest about who you are and staying true to your values allows you to build trust, maintain your reputation, and live without having to be anyone other than yourself.
