Merima Sero serves as a business developer and account director in the logistics industry, a role she has held for eight years. In this capacity she focuses on sales, acting also as a sales coach and mentor while securing reliable transportation services such as drive-in, flatbed, and step deck shipments for clients across retail and government sectors, including major accounts like Walmart, Kroger, military, and IRS. Prior to entering logistics she worked as a nurse after completing nursing school and college in Kentucky. Among her notable achievements she was recognized as the top performer in LTL partial truckloads and ranked number one in her company. She maintains memberships in retail and government associations. Merima attributes her professional success to the encouragement of supportive family members and a physician colleague who urged her to be patient and try the new field. She describes herself as a problem solver who is persistent, values relationships, and upholds honesty, integrity, and loyalty in both her work and personal life.

01What do you attribute your success to?
I would say the credit to my biggest supporters, one lady which is one of the doctors and my family. They told me to be patient and to try it, and I listened.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Trust your gut. Do something different, try it. You just have to be very disciplined. It is not for everyone.
03What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
I'm a problem solver. I'm persistent. I value relationships. Honesty, integrity, loyalty.
