Her Story

About Mersiha

Mersiha Ramic is a strategy, project management, and operations leader with `10 years of experience in project management, portfolio management, and process creation across pharmaceuticals, technology, aviation, and commercial packaged goods. She studied finance at Georgia Tech and began her career with internships and co-ops in investment banking and mergers and acquisitions before pivoting after graduation into project management roles in the clinical trial and pharmaceutical fields for three years. She then moved into the SaaS and technology world, followed by aviation at Delta Air Lines where she spent the bulk of her career. At Delta, she built the Res & Care department's first PMO, hiring and onboarding a team, established all PMO infrastructure, tools, templates, and processes, and served as Chief of Staff to an SVP, conducting industry research and benchmarking to co-create the 3- to 5-year strategic vision and plan. After pursuing her Executive MBA at Georgia Tech, she later pivoted to Coca-Cola, where she now works in Commercial Strategy & Route to Market. She is PMP certified and currently working on her Lean Six Sigma black belt. Her career reflects a strong commitment to strategic execution, operational excellence, and leadership development, attributes she credits to her family's immigrant experience from Bosnia.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Mersiha

01What do you attribute your success to?

My parents. My family immigrated here from Bosnia during the war, and they uprooted their whole lives to bring our family here. They really instilled in us the importance of hard work and resiliency, and the idea that if you can do that, you can really accomplish anything.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

Relationships are the currency of business. Don't underestimate the importance of building authentic relationships with those around you.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Buckle up, it's gonna be a fun journey! Be brave, be bold, say "yes" to new challenges, and try things that scare you. You never know what opportunities are waiting for on the other side of fear.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

AI is everywhere and exploding in every industry. Being in my MBA program in Management of Technology, AI is a huge focus. Thinking through how AI plays into project management and strategic execution space in large Fortune 100 companies, from corporate strategy down to day-to-day work. How to leverage it, enable it, and manage the relationship between leveraging AI in conjunction with your personal experience and skill set.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Resiliency. Work hard, play hard, and keep your eyes on the prize. But most importantly, have fun while doing it!
