About Mia
Mia Botti is a social media marketing professional with almost six years of experience. Her expertise encompasses brand partnerships, creative direction for photo shoots, and influencer management. Mia developed a passion for visual art and storytelling from a young age through drawing, painting, theater, and creating videos. During her college years, she worked for five years as a lead supervisor at a restaurant while also serving as a brand ambassador and handling content creation and a marketing internship. She took ownership of the restaurant's TikTok account, producing, editing, and directing visual content, and facilitated brand partnerships and collaborations. Mia is proud of her ability to create content that builds connections with audiences while telling both personal and brand stories through short-form visual art. She attributes her success to being proactive and curious, watching and physically learning, taking initiative, and maintaining a strong work ethic. In her field, which she finds competitive, Mia draws motivation from her childhood sports experience. She values a healthy mindset, habits, and balance between work and personal life to prevent burnout and support overall happiness and success. Mia advises young women entering the industry to never give up, brainstorm, find their passion through trial and error, and incorporate it into their work for a healthy balance.

01What do you attribute your success to?
Honestly, being super proactive and curious, seeing, watching and physically learning. You have to take initiative in this field, and it's something I've always just done. I've always had such a strong work ethic, and it's really helped me strive for performance.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Never give up. Brainstorm. Find your passion, trial and error. Find a way to incorporate that in your work life because creating that healthy balance of a good work and personal and passion for your life is super important, and it helps prevent you feeling burnt out, and you're contributing to your overall happiness and success. Trial and error, and there's always ways that you can take initiative and make it your own.
03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
It's very challenging and very competitive because everyone wants to do this. But that's never stopped me. I've always played sports as a kid and I like the competition, and it pushes me to do better.
04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Having a healthy mindset and healthy habits. Having a good balance of work life and personal has really helped me a lot. Being mindful and having awareness for a healthy proactive mindset.
