Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to God and am grateful for every blessing he has given me. He placed the right people in my life at the right time. Early in my career, a difficult experience nearly made me leave the industry, but witnessing the passion of others inspired me to continue. Today, I love being a business owner, focusing on retention and nurturing the deep connections that have always been my passion.

Q

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I’ve ever received is to show up fully, even before you feel fully ready. Imposter syndrome is real. Early on, I thought success required having everything perfectly lined up. But what I've learned is that growth doesn't happen in perfection, it happens in motion. You have to be willing to step forward in confidence and take chances. Some of the most defining moments in my career came from saying yes before I thought I had it all figured out.

My confidence isn't rooted in having all the answers, its rooted in aligning my life and work with God. When that foundation is steady, I don't have to wait for perfect conditions to move forward. I can show up fully, do the work in front of me, and trust that He will guide the outcome.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women entering the insurance industry is that you can do it all - just not all at the same time. As a woman, devoted wife and mother, and a business professional, there is often an unspoken pressure to be everything to everyone. But what I've learned is that success isn't about constant availability or perfect balance, its about intentional presence. My family needs to know I'm there for them, but they don't need every minute of me. The same is true for my career. There is space to grow, lead and excel professionally without taking away from what matters most at home. Be deliberate with how you spend your time. Some seasons require more time at home, others call me to step forward in my work or focus on my faith. When I'm clear on what matters most in the moment, I can show up fully, without guilt competing for my attention.

Doing it all isn't about filling every hour. Its about aligning your time, your energy, and your priorities with what matters most, when it matters most. You can have a fulfilling career, enjoy what you do, build meaningful relationships, and balance being a woman with children. Hard work and dedication are recognized—and the impact you make can be both personal and professional.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest challenges in the life, health and disability space right now is a lack of trust and transparency. For most individuals and employers, benefit plans and strategies are difficult to navigate and understand. The language can be complex and the education isn't always clear. This leaves people struggling to understand even the fundamentals of their coverage. But with that challenge lies significant opportunity. There is a real need for professionals who can bridge the gap, who understand the nuances of carriers, underwriting, and claims and can translate that complexity into something clear, practical and easy to act on. Not just selling a product, but helping people understand what they have, how it works, and how it supports them on their worst day.

That's where I see the future of the insurance industry heading. The value isn't just in access to plans, it's in the ability to communicate them well. To take something inherently complex and make it simple, without losing it's substance. Because when people understand their coverage, they make better decisions. And that's better for everyone.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

My faith in Jesus guides everything I do, both personally and professionally. It isn't something I turn on in certain settings and off in others. It shapes how I lead, how I serve, and how I make decisions every day. I strive to show His love and make a meaningful difference in the lives of others. For my sister and I, our business, brand, and personal values are one and the same—we design our work around how we are called to live. I’m involved with my church, and enjoy teaching my children the value of service through programs like Operation Christmas Child. Supporting veterans’ causes and organizations like Renewal Ranch are also very important to me. Balancing family and career—working from home with my children—has taught me that it’s possible to excel in both. At the heart of everything I do is building meaningful connections, whether with clients, community, or family. When your values are clear and your life is aligned, your work becomes more than just a role you step into, it becomes a natural extension of who you are.
