Michele Edwards: Hello, influential women, fam. What it means being an influential woman is using your voice, being courageous and not backing down, uh, and to follow dreams and passions, which I feel is very, very important.
What's one piece of advice you would give to younger women chasing their dreams?
Michele Edwards: OK, so first and foremost, I absolutely love this question and I couldn't help but get tears in my eyes because one piece of advice I would give younger women when it comes to any passions that they have or any goals that they want reached or just chasing their dreams would be, be patient with yourself, you know, and to have faith and to be kind to yourself. Uh, I even looked at this too as something that. I wish I knew when I was 17, you know, 15 years old. So yeah, you know, be patient and give yourself grace.
Her Story
About Michele
I've been a content creator for over 5 years now, and during that time I've developed extensive experience in social media management and community building. I'm an admin, owner for Queenified Beauties, which is an uplifting community that I've helped build and manage alongside with my co partner. I run my personal platform called Queens Don't Break, where I share DIYs, motherhood content, and other lifestyle topics. Most recently, I launched an ASMR channel called Whispered Word Co, where I'm really focused on spreading the gospel to generations to come and to the world. As a wife and mother, I've learned so much about patience and multitasking, which has shaped how I approach my work. My day-to-day involves practicing time management, staying consistent with checking emails, and self-promoting, all while balancing family life. I'm only 27, but I've learned that growth doesn't happen overnight - it takes years of dedication and consistency. The best career advice I've received came just recently from a fellow creator who told me to not give up, to keep doing what I'm doing, and that God blesses me. That message resonated deeply and reminded me that I can't quit, I have to keep at this.

Ten minutes with Michele
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to patience and understanding that growth doesn't happen overnight. My most notable achievement has been the growth I've obtained across my social media platforms, and learning that it takes years to build something meaningful. Patience has been huge for me, especially since I'm a mom - that's taught me so much about taking things one step at a time and not rushing the process. I've learned to focus on being consistent, checking my emails, self-promoting, and managing my time as best I can while also raising my child. It's not easy, but I'm getting through it one day at a time. I've also learned the importance of not giving up. Just recently, a fellow creator sent me a message telling me to keep doing what I'm doing and that God blesses me, and that resonated with me so much. It gave me a valuable sign that I can't quit, that I have to keep at this.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I've ever received actually came just last night. A fellow creator, someone I'm doing a video for, sent me a message telling me to not give up, to keep doing what I'm doing, and that God blesses me. Oh my goodness, that resonated with me so much. It gave me such a valuable sign - like, Michelle, you can't quit. You gotta keep at this. I just love how sometimes God sends people into your life that you didn't even expect to give you His Word at exactly the right moment.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I love this question so much! I want each and every single woman to know that if they have a vision, if they have a passion, go for it. Do not wait on it. This is something that I was hesitant about for many, many years - spreading the gospel through ASMR and my content. I'm only 27, so obviously not that long, but it's been a couple of years that I held back. My advice to them would be, if they have a passion to do something, do it, and do not give up. Strive to be better, not perfect, because we're all not perfect. Don't let hesitation hold you back from pursuing what you're called to do.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The biggest challenge I'm currently facing is definitely time management and scheduling. I'm still buckling down on that - it definitely takes practice. As a content creator who's also a mother and wife, balancing everything is not very easy. I'm still learning and trying to get through it, taking one step at a time. Time management is something I'm constantly working on improving as I grow my platforms and launch new projects like my ASMR channel.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values most important to me are time management, courage, and communication. These are all things that I am still learning as I go. Time management is crucial because I'm balancing being a content creator, a mother, and a wife. Communication is a big point in my life, especially since I am a wife - it's essential to maintaining strong relationships both personally and professionally. And courage is important because it takes bravery to pursue your passions and put yourself out there, especially when you've been hesitant for years like I was with my ASMR ministry work.
