About Michele
Michele Guasch is an insurance agent and the owner of her own agency in Tampa, Florida, where she specializes in life and health insurance services. Having entered the field at the end of 2023, she has quickly built a successful remote agency licensed in 12 states, with ambitions to expand nationwide and employ an all-female team of agents. Guasch holds an associate degree in business administration, which she received in 2023, and is currently pursuing her bachelor's degree in the same field, having started her studies in 2021. She is known for her dedication to clients, often working from early morning until midnight to accommodate all time zones and providing personalized service that emphasizes long-term relationships over financial gain. As a domestic violence survivor, Guasch is driven by a passion to help those less fortunate, including plans to open a hospital and shelter for battered women and children. Her community involvement includes delivering food through her local church's pantry, maintaining a school supply closet, and supporting her senior apartment complex association. Guasch credits her accomplishments to working hard, making genuine connections, and thinking innovatively in a male-dominated industry, and she advises young women to never give up on their dreams and to step out of their comfort zones.
Her Interview
Ten minutes with Michele
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to working hard, putting in the time, making genuine connections with clients, and always thinking outside the box as a woman in a male-dominated industry. It's all about the people and showing them they matter, not just the money. I accommodate clients across all time zones and give 100% to provide the best service.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
If you want to be successful you have to put the work in. Choose a profession that you feel passionate about. How you present yourself is very important because first impressions leave a lasting impression. Always have confidence in yourself and dont be afraid to step out of your comfort zone.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Don't ever give up on your hopes and dreams. If you work at it, anything is possible. Step out of your comfort zone because when you're uncomfortable, something good is about to happen. As women in a male-dominated world, we need to think outside the box and know we're here to do the same things as the men.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The biggest challenge is being a woman in a male-dominated industry where men often only see the money, but the opportunity is to connect with clients on a deeper level and help those less fortunate, which drives real success and longevity in relationships.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Helping people who are less fortunate than me is most important. I've been lucky and want to give back to my community by supporting those in need, whether it's families securing their future with insurance, children getting food and clothes, or building shelters for battered women. It's about being there for people, not for the money.
