Her Interview
Ten minutes with Michele
01What do you attribute your success to?
The strong desire to empower people. I distilled that down when I first started Empowered in 2015. I want to empower people. That's what I get to do with my life, and so I have to find a way to do that, and also make a living at it. That's my drive. I want to help people for a living, and I want to make the best impact that I can possibly make.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Find your niche, and then serve the people within that niche.
03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The challenge is going from in-person to online when it comes to physical training and wellness stuff. What worked 6 months ago does not work now. With AI and the challenges in reaching people these days on social media, it's hard to connect with people anymore through that means. As an online trainer, how do you reach people?
04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
All of them. Definitely integrity, honesty. I'm a very hard worker. I believe in kind of getting at your all. But I don't expect that of my clients. I expect them to just do what they can. My general philosophy is we can do what we can do, and we're going to do our best at it. The desire to really help people is my life's mission.
