About Michele
I have spent 35 years in technology, starting with a computer science degree from MIT. My career has included consulting, technical sales, alliances, and now product management at AWS where I focus on AI solutions. I work with major customers to build the roadmap for generative AI products. As a woman in tech, I overcame a demotion during maternity leave by moving to a technical sales role that doubled my salary. I mentor women and am writing a novel about AI to highlight challenges in the industry.

01What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I coach women to articulate their vision for what they want to accomplish rather than just listing their qualifications and saying they will be a good employee. I tell them to say things like I have a vision for this product to do X, Y, and Z, which makes the conversation about the mission rather than qualifications.
