Michelle Smith

Michelle Smith founded her boutique publishing company four years ago, marking a significant rebirth after two decades working as a senior project coordinator across entertainment, healthcare, and environmental industries. Throughout her life, she has pursued a parallel path as a singer-songwriter, performing since childhood and aspiring to a major career in music. After being laid off in 2018 and facing a cancer diagnosis during the early months of the pandemic, she channeled her resilience into launching the business, which now produces books for independent artists and nonprofit organizations by helping them develop their brand stories. Michelle balances her corporate project management and operations skills with her firsthand experience as an independent artist, allowing her to guide clients in vision development and authentic representation. She is set to graduate in May from Southern New Hampshire University with a degree in general business featuring an entrepreneurship concentration, as well as an associate degree in fine liberal arts, and is currently authoring her own memoir while on a traveling sabbatical.
