About Michelle
Michelle Boardley-Gore is a human resources leader with over 20 years of experience. She started in administration as a front desk administrator, was promoted to property management, and then moved into an HR assistant position where she developed skills in benefits, payroll, and onboarding. Over the course of her career she has worked with organizations including EarthRights International, where she led strategic HR operations for global teams in Thailand and Peru. There she transitioned teams from paper-based processes to the BambooHR platform, improving compliance, self-service capabilities, and employee engagement. She also provides part-time fractional HR support through People Operations Partners to small businesses. Previously she served at UnitedHealth Group as a Talent Acquisition Service Advisor, evaluating job descriptions for compliance across state and federal requirements and supporting global recruitment efforts. Michelle is deeply committed to employee relations and engagement, viewing them as the core of effective HR. She received a Staff Quarter Award for Excellence in Employee Engagement in recognition of her approachable, supportive approach to staff needs.

01What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Learn from your mistakes, be open-minded, and be able to receive constructive feedback. Evaluate that feedback and be open to change in every area. Find your niche and stick with it rather than trying to be a jack of all trades.
