Her Interview
Ten minutes with Michelle
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to a strong work ethic, a genuine desire to serve others, and the relationships I’ve built throughout my career. I’m grateful for the mentors, coaches, colleagues, family, and friends who have supported, challenged, and encouraged me along the way.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve received is to build relationships, make my goals known, and take ownership of my career. I’ve learned that opportunities often come through meaningful connections and self-advocacy. I also remind myself to stay grounded through both highs and lows, maintaining perspective and not allowing external circumstances to dictate my energy or confidence.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering my industry is to be willing to feel uncomfortable and not have all the answers. Ask questions, learn from mistakes, build your skills, and trust that confidence will follow through experience. Most importantly, build a strong network and community—relationships can support your growth, and remember you have just as much to offer others.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
I see tremendous opportunities in medical devices for people who genuinely want to improve patient outcomes and make a meaningful impact. While industry challenges and pressures will continue to evolve, I believe success comes from taking ownership, staying curious, focusing on solutions, and recognizing possibilities others may not yet see.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values most important to me are continuous learning, personal growth, meaningful contribution, and intentional action. I believe in evolving, challenging my perspectives, and using my strengths to make a positive difference. I also value hard work, but today I focus on putting my energy toward work that inspires me and creates meaningful impact.
