What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I ever received was to believe in myself and seize opportunities, encouragement that first came from my high school band director and was reinforced by mentors and professionals throughout my broadcasting journey.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I would tell young women entering this industry to believe in themselves, stay humble and open to learning, take advantage of every internship or entry-level opportunity, and be patient and consistent—never limit your vision to just local success.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The biggest challenges in my field right now are standing out in a crowded media landscape, adapting to rapid changes in digital consumption, and balancing traditional radio with evolving platforms. At the same time, there are exciting opportunities to expand into national media, host for professional sports and entertainment events, form brand partnerships, and grow as a multimedia entrepreneur.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values most important to me in my work and personal life are authenticity, hard work, humility, and giving back through mentorship and representation.
