Her Interview

Ten minutes with Michelle

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to a strong work ethic instilled by growing up on a dairy farm with parents who emphasized using your full potential through hard, honest work. Even after setbacks like layoffs during the financial crisis, I get up, update my resume, and find the next opportunity because I have a family to support.

02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Take every learning opportunity that comes your way, even if it feels uncomfortable or outside your comfort zone. Say yes to things because you will learn from them. Always stay in learning mode to build a better skill set, become a stronger leader, and open more future opportunities.
