Michelle Egbert: It, it's knowing who you are, what matters most to you, and actually having the courage to make decisions that reflect those values that you cherish, even when they may not be the most popular choice.
What does being an Influential Woman mean to you?
Michelle Egbert: When I think about what it means to be an influential woman, well, I don't think influence is about titles or followers or even being the loudest voice in the room, I think true influence comes from alignment. It, it's knowing who you are, what matters most to you, and actually having the courage to make decisions that reflect those values that you cherish, even when they may not be the most popular choice. And the women who have influenced me the most, well, they weren't the ones trying to impress people. They were actually more clear about their purpose, and they were also consistent in their actions and authentic in the way that they showed up each and every day.
What's one piece of advice you would give to younger women chasing their dreams?
Michelle Egbert: For women, younger women, especially who are chasing their dreams, my advice is this. Don't spend all of your energy climbing somebody else's ladder. Because many of us are taught to focus on achievement. But achievement without alignment, well, that can still leave you feeling unfulfilled in your life and also in your business. So before you ask, how do I get there, make sure you are also asking, Is this where I'm actually want to go? Because I feel success becomes much more meaningful when the life that you are building actually reflects who you truly are.

Ten minutes with Michelle
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to maintaining a strong balance between my personal life and business, which allows me to avoid burnout and stay aligned with my priorities. I’ve learned to set clear boundaries, recognize when to shift focus between family and business, and be intentional about what I say yes or no to. A key part of my success also comes from helping other small business owners do the same—supporting them in making aligned decisions so they can sustain their businesses without becoming overwhelmed or burned out, especially solo entrepreneurs who often lack support systems.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I would advise young women entering my industry that success doesn’t come from doing more, but from being intentional and staying in alignment with what truly matters in their lives. It’s important to be clear about your values and ensure there is alignment between who you are today and who you are becoming. When your choices, goals, and actions are grounded in that alignment, you’re able to build a career that is not only successful, but also sustainable and personally fulfilling.
03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
There are so many opportunities for women to start their own business. They can build boldly, live fully, and lead with purpose. The challenge is most women try to do so many things and loose their focus on who they are and who they are becoming. The world tell us that we have to do more, be more but at what cost? The opportunity is women can build a business that supports their life, both personally and professionally. What women need is alignment with their purpose, priorities, processes, and their community. The opportunity is women do not have to build their businesses alone!
04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
I value connection, both personally and professionally. When I engage with people I want the connection to be meaningful by listening more and being that support they need. I value integrity. If I say I will do something, I will do it. I value communication. I want people I know, both personally and professionally, to know I am here to support them and make sure I stay in communication each step of the way. I value family and faith. I am grounded in my faith and make sure my family comes before my business.
