She is also the Co-Producer of South Florida Wellness Week™, a large-scale wellness conference that has featured hundreds of practitioners and business owners, giving them a platform for visibility, connection, and growth. Her network continues to expand globally, with members across the U.S., Canada, England, and the Caribbean, and she is currently building out a corporate wellness board that integrates her members into larger organizational wellness initiatives.

Before entering the wellness industry full-time, Michelle earned a degree in Management Information Systems and spent over a decade in the corporate sector, combining business strategy with technical expertise in data systems and analytics. Her professional foundation includes work with major organizations such as LexisNexis and federal emergency management contracts, where she led data teams and managed complex, high-stakes information systems. Her transition into entrepreneurship began after a career shift during a pivotal life season as a mother of two, when she entered the network marketing space and built the foundational skills of leadership, communication, and business development. Today, she draws on both her corporate and entrepreneurial experience to mentor and support others helping wellness entrepreneurs avoid common pitfalls, accelerate their growth, and build sustainable, purpose-driven businesses.

Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to my work ethic. I'm just so consistent. I don't give up. Since I became an entrepreneur, I've been so consistent in just being present almost every day. People know me. One of my gifts is building relationships with people, and that is the top one, actually. My relationship building is what has really helped me, because I have relationships from when I was in middle school, all the way to all my corporate jobs, that I'm still in contact with all these people, and these are people that will rally for me and do so much. Being in this space, people have been watching what I've done over the years. I just have so many people rallying behind the things that I do, because I genuinely want to see people be better, and so I also reciprocate and see how I can help them. Over the years, I've either helped them or just checked on them in some way. So relationship building is my biggest gift. I didn't realize how much of a gift it was until a lot of people started pointing it out to me. And then my consistency, too. I just have a really great work ethic, and I stay consistent, and when I say I'm gonna do something, 99% of the time I do it. I don't just talk a good game, I actually do the work. And that's, I think, a lot of times where people fall short. They don't want to do the work, but I'm gonna do the work, even though it's not easy. I prefer not to do the work, but I do the work, because I know that's what it takes.

Q

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I've received is about not caring what people think. There's a lot of times people hold back on things they want to do and pursuing their dreams because they're so concerned what other people are gonna say or think. And I'm just like, no, you need to just do that thing. If you're called to do something, who cares? Who cares what other people think? Who cares if you fail the first time? You're gonna fail. Usually we have to fail before we can get better. So just standing firm and knowing when you feel something deep down that you're made to do, doing it, going for it, despite what the naysayers say.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I would tell young women entering this field to just keep the faith and keep going. You know, we start out just learning as we go, so as long as they stick to it, I mean, anything is possible. So that, I feel, is so important for people to stick to their goals and their dreams of the things they want to do. We're living in a world where there's way too many people thinking that everything's gonna come so quickly. No, it takes... it's always a journey. So just sticking with it, that's where they're gonna see the fruit.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

The biggest challenge right now is that I'm seeing there's an explosion in the wellness industry. I've been here for a long time, and I'm very passionate about it because I want to see people be healed. But what I'm really seeing as a challenge right now is bigger companies coming in that have money to draw people into whatever they're doing, but they really don't have the heart behind it. They don't really care about the people. But people are gravitating to that because it looks so good, right? They have the money to make their marketing look amazing and all the things. So it can be a challenge. But at the same time, I find that the right people will find me, and they usually do find me. So seeing how this industry is shifting with people taking advantage of the growth in wellness and not in it with their heart, not in it with the right intention, for the real reasons.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Integrity is the most important value to me. I think it's so important to be a person of your word. The reason I think I've built what I've built so far with this network is I vet everyone, and they just have to be in integrity for me to be able to refer them out to other people, otherwise they're not going to make it into my network. I'm very picky about that, because it just takes one person that can bring down something that was built.
