Her Story
About Michelle
Michelle Flowers is a holistic practitioner, creative, and somatic dance teacher based in Charlotte, North Carolina. With more than 10 years of experience, she fuses her holistic practices with creative expression to support wellness and healing. Her path began after attending Temple University, where she did not finish her degree with 19 credits remaining, prompting a journey of self-discovery and natural healing from illness and depression. She has studied with meditation teachers, energy teachers, and somatic healers. Flowers is recognized as a somatic dance teacher under the Dance Alliance out of Paris and was part of the milestone program through Cornell. She values freedom, transparency, honesty, exploration, and resilience in both her professional and personal life. She contributes to Asha Sims' non-profit under Shakti Wellness, which provides healing services to underserved populations. Her daily routine includes grounding, prayer, meditation, movement, and creating before responding to client inquiries.

01What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Keep going. Even if it doesn't look like what everyone else's journey may look like, believe in yourself and keep going.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Believe in yourself. You have an idea for a reason. Believe that what you are being led to do is for your highest good and for the good of all. Keep going.
03What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
My values are freedom, transparency, honesty, exploration, and resilience.
