Her Interview

Ten minutes with Michelle

01What do you attribute your success to?

I would say my do-it-ness, like get up and go. This is for me, this is for others. I'm not doing this for somebody else. This is about me wanting to better myself, and I saw a need there, and I thought, you know what? I'm gonna fulfill that need, and every day I challenge myself to be a little bit better than I was the day before. I challenge myself to be proud of what I've done at the end of the day.

02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I would say go for it. Take the classes that you need to be licensed, and it opens up so many doors. Not necessarily having to stay as a notary, but you meet so many different people. You meet other realtors and people that you're serving come from all backgrounds. You can meet dignitaries, you can meet just your regular person, someone who owns a farm, and sometimes that opens up avenues to maybe they know somebody in a field that you've been thinking about going into.

03What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Most importantly is integrity, trustworthiness. Trust a person. I believe character is also what you are when you think no one else is looking. Are you gonna try and do the easy thing, or are you gonna try and do little sneaky stuff? Honesty and forthrightness.
