About Michelle
I started in labor and delivery after being inspired by the birth of my first son. After a cross-country move and family needs, I took a break and worked in schools as a teacher and one-on-one nurse. That reminded me how much I love nursing, so I returned to bedside roles. Now as a field nurse and case manager, I visit patients in assisted living communities, especially those with limited resources, providing care and support.

01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to perspective. I look for opportunities to make an impact, show up with a smile every day, seek the silver lining, joy, and happiness. When you look for opportunity and positivity, you find it, and that makes all the difference.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Stay true to who you are and what you know is right. Do things with integrity always. Seek roles and environments where you can thrive because it's something you love and find rewarding. Be in roles where you are valued and can grow and make a difference.
