Michelle Jones
Michelle Jones is a dedicated professional in the energy and manufacturing industry, currently serving as a Construction Support Supervisor – Materials at Southern Company Gas. With over a decade of experience, she brings deep expertise in project management, materials coordination, customer service, and strategic planning. Michelle earned her Bachelor of Science in Mathematics with a minor in Psychology from Clayton State University in 2011 and recently completed her Master of Science in Engineering Management from Kennesaw State University in 2024. She also holds a Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) credential from the Project Management Institute.
Throughout her career, Michelle has held roles in lighting controls, project consulting, and technical support, gaining a strong reputation for reliability, adaptability, and leadership. Whether overseeing complex supply chains or supporting large-scale infrastructure projects, she consistently demonstrates a passion for operational excellence and continuous learning.
Outside of work, Michelle is a proud wife and mother of three boys, as well as a devoted dog owner. Balancing a thriving professional career with a fulfilling family life, she serves as a role model for women pursuing careers in STEM and leadership within traditionally male-dominated industries.

I attribute my success to not being afraid to ask questions, seek out information, and confidently navigate a male-dominated industry with determination and resilience.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering this industry is to ask plenty of questions and never let yourself be intimidated—confidence and curiosity are key to thriving here.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The biggest challenge in my field right now is juggling a variety of daily tasks—from managing projects and inspections to working both in the field and behind the computer—while coordinating directly with vendors.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The most important values to me are cherishing family time and shared activities like swimming, baseball, and games, inspired by the example set by my father.
