Her Story

About Michelle

Michelle Lambert is a licensed clinical social worker, therapist, and founder of Monarch Sky Therapy, a telehealth practice dedicated to helping adolescents and adults navigate trauma, anxiety, addiction, divorce, and major life transitions. With approximately nine years of experience in the behavioral health field, she began her career as an intern before earning her Master of Social Work from Troy University in 2022. Today, she provides evidence-based therapy through her private practice as well as leading telehealth platforms, including Grow Therapy, BetterHelp, Headway, and Teladoc, serving clients in Colorado and New Mexico while maintaining professional ties to Florida.

Throughout her career, Lambert has built extensive experience in trauma-informed care, addiction recovery, and emotional wellness. Her clinical background includes roles with JourneyPure, Recovery Bay Center, Beach Counseling, and Bay Wellness Group, where she worked with individuals facing substance use disorders, anxiety, depression, ADHD, and other mental health challenges. Drawing from evidence-based approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), she focuses on helping clients build resilience, regulate emotions, and create meaningful, lasting change. Her work is guided by the belief that therapy provides a safe, supportive space where individuals can rediscover their strengths and move forward with confidence.

Lambert's professional philosophy is deeply influenced by her own experiences of overcoming adversity and rebuilding her life, allowing her to connect authentically with those she serves. She emphasizes resilience, authenticity, compassion, integrity, and service in every aspect of her practice. Beyond her clinical work, she is an active member of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) and volunteers with organizations supporting survivors of domestic violence, women in recovery, and individuals overcoming addiction. Through both her professional practice and community involvement, Lambert remains committed to empowering others to heal, grow, and thrive.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Michelle

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to a genuine commitment to helping people in vulnerable situations. My past has shaped who I am, but it does not define me. While I cannot change what has happened, I can choose how I respond to it. I have chosen to use my experiences as a source of empathy, resilience, and purpose, dedicating my work to supporting others and creating opportunities for positive change.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I’ve ever received is to use my own experiences to make a positive difference in the lives of others. My past has shaped my perspective, but it does not define who I am. Instead, it has taught me the importance of building trust, leading with empathy, and using my experiences to support, encourage, and empower those who need it most.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Don't give up. Use your past to help others. Pursue your dreams. Confidence comes from taking action. Invest in yourself and your mental health.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest challenges in my field is building trust and rapport with clients through telehealth, especially during the first few sessions. At the same time, the growing demand for therapy presents an opportunity to reach and support more people who need quality mental health care.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Resilience, authenticity, compassion, integrity, service, helping others.
