Michelle Marquart
Michelle Marquart is the founder and owner of Enivré Candle LLC, a boutique candle company based in St. Augustine, Florida, specializing in Paris 1920s-inspired container candles and a growing line of body and spa products. Her brand is driven by a passion for art, literature, and historical references, with a focus on creating intoxicating fragrances and unique artisanal experiences. Michelle markets her products primarily online through platforms like Etsy and her business website, and she continues to expand her offerings to include soaps, rollerball perfumes, and body butters.
Before launching her candle venture, Michelle built a distinguished career in pharmacy spanning over 25 years, working in both hospital and community settings. She has experience with complex compounding, including IVs, chemotherapy, and adult and neonatal TPNs, and served as Director of Pharmacy for a psychiatric hospital in New Orleans. In addition to her pharmacy work, she has provided consulting services for nursing homes and law firms, demonstrating her expertise in both healthcare operations and patient care.
Michelle holds a Bachelor of Arts in Biology with a minor in Art History from Boston University and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Pharmacy from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. Currently on disability, she balances her entrepreneurial pursuits with part-time work at a cat café, where she volunteers in animal care and fosters kittens. Her professional philosophy emphasizes following one’s passions, remaining tenacious in the face of challenges, and maintaining a creative, individualized approach to her work.

I attribute my success to tenacity and perseverance, staying committed and not giving up easily even when faced with challenges.

The best career advice I’ve ever received is to do what you love.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I would advise young women entering this industry not to be discouraged by its saturation. Be thorough and safety-conscious in testing your products, and stay committed to your passion if you truly love the work.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The biggest challenges in my field right now are navigating a saturated market, meeting strict safety and testing requirements, and managing operations as a one-person business. At the same time, there are significant opportunities in securing wholesale accounts with upscale spas and salons and expanding my spa product line.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values most important to me in my work and personal life are following my passion, staying resilient against negativity, embracing authenticity, and honoring my creativity and love of art.
