About Michelle
Michelle Minick is a People Operations Generalist at Roofstock in the San Francisco Bay Area, supporting employees across the full employee lifecycle, from onboarding and benefits to leave administration, compliance, and offboarding. With six years of experience in Human Resources and People Operations, she has built a versatile career spanning Human Resources, administrative and office operations, talent acquisition, and project coordination. Her previous experience includes roles at Envoy, Instacart, Bloomingdale’s, IFTTT, and Hired, giving her a broad understanding of people-focused operations within both high-growth technology companies and established organizations. Michelle’s transition into Human Resources began while working as an Executive Assistant at Product School, where she identified opportunities to improve employee onboarding and took the initiative to develop stronger onboarding programs. Her experience at Bloomingdale’s further strengthened her foundation in Human Resources, providing what she describes as a comprehensive “boot camp” in the field of HR. Drawing on her background in the performing arts, Michelle brings strong interpersonal skills, adaptability, creativity, and a natural ability to connect with people. She is particularly passionate about helping others, solving problems, and creating positive employee experiences while finding thoughtful and practical solutions to workplace challenges.
Beyond her professional career, Michelle is committed to the arts, community service, emergency preparedness, and supporting meaningful social and environmental causes. She has volunteered with nonprofit organizations including Angel Flight, Classical Tahoe, Save the Bay, Hamilton House, SF Marin Food Bank, Alameda County Community Food Bank, and other arts and community initiatives. She is also a certified Neighborhood Emergency Response Team (NERT) member through the San Francisco Fire Department, and is pursuing her development as a female student pilot, with an interest in supporting Angel Flight’s mission of providing transportation for people in need. Michelle’s career and community involvement reflect her belief that a meaningful career can be built through continuous learning, discovery, and a genuine desire to make a positive difference in the lives of others.
