About Michelle
I have been involved in construction my entire life for 44 years. I am the CEO and general contractor of my company which started in 2008. I oversee luxury custom homes like building mansions, handle finance and marketing, and own two other companies: Architectural Blueprints for custom homes and duplexes, and Shell Realty for real estate. I am the first female Hispanic luxury builder in the most luxurious neighborhood in southern Arizona. My mother taught me how to build houses.

01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to God and prayer, as well as working hard and never quitting.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Find your comfort zone, then leave it. If you want to succeed and be one of the best, you can't get complacent. You have to keep moving, learning, and pushing yourself.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
You can do anything. There is no glass ceiling. Keep shattering glass ceiling after glass ceiling.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
Biggest challenges are stress management and keeping up with quickly changing styles. The greatest opportunity is to create masterpieces.
