About Michelle
Michelle Poston has been in the wealth finance industry for 21 years. From a young age she demonstrated strong money management skills, buying her first house and car and paying her way through college. Inspired by her interest in helping people with financial planning, she pursued a career as a financial advisor. She is a Certified Financial Planner® who provides comprehensive planning, focusing on relationships and adding value to clients' lives. Her communication style simplifies complex topics for clients. She is actively involved in her community, volunteering with Traveling Turkeys and various Kansas City initiatives, and previously served on the board of the National Association of Women Business Owners for a couple of years.

01What do you attribute your success to?
I've always been a hard worker. I'm very relational with my clients, understanding their goals and values, I'm not just focused the money. I provide comprehensive planning and add as much value as I can. My communication style simplifies things for clients, which they appreciate.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Take that leap and have confidence that it will work out. Do the activity, meet with people, do a great job for clients, and the business will build organically. The sooner the better to build the business longer.
