About Michelle
Michelle Ramadan is a Senior Product Marketing Manager at LinkedIn. She works on the product marketing team and serves as the product marketing and go-to-market lead for LinkedIn Premium's business subscription. In this role, she partners with the product development team to improve the premium subscription for users including solopreneurs, career accelerators, and job seekers. Her day-to-day work involves research, defining positioning, and leading go-to-market strategy for new features. Michelle has been at LinkedIn for about four years and in tech for about six years. She holds an econ degree from Stanford University. Prior to LinkedIn, she started her career in management consulting, then joined a small ed tech startup during the pandemic. She attributes her success to leaning into her curiosities and playing to her strengths. After beginning in a very analytical consulting role, she sought a cross-functional position and found that stakeholder management, positioning, and rapid experimentation were her strengths. She joined a small startup and through raising her hand landed in growth marketing, which led to product marketing. One of her notable achievements is being the first growth marketer hired for lifecycle and retention at LinkedIn, where she took the strategy from zero to one and drove over $60 million for the business. She has also built repeatable playbooks as the LinkedIn premium portfolio expanded. Michelle advises young women entering the industry to follow where their curiosity leads, not be afraid to try something and fail, launch more experiments to increase the likelihood of striking gold, act boldly, and trust their intuitions.

01What do you attribute your success to?
I'd say leaning into your curiosities and playing to your strengths. When I started my career in consulting, very analytical, I knew I wanted a cross-functional role. I found stakeholder management, positioning and rapid experimentation were my strengths. I joined a small startup and through raising my hand landed in growth marketing which led to product marketing.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Follow where your curiosity is, and don't be afraid to try something and fail. The more experiments you launch the higher likelihood you strike gold. Act boldly, trust your intuitions, and be okay if it doesn't work out.
