Michelle Seubert

Park Manager
Cherry Creek State Park
Brightton, CO 80601

Michelle Seubert is the Park Manager at Cherry Creek State Park, one of Colorado's 43 state parks. In her role, she oversees all aspects of park operations, including budget management, maintenance, educational programs, and wildlife conservation. As a fully commissioned park officer, Michelle also patrols the park and enforces state laws and regulations, ensuring the safety of both visitors and the park’s natural resources. Under her leadership, Cherry Creek State Park—a 4,200-acre oasis with nearly 1,900 acres of water—welcomes approximately 2 million visitors annually and hosts diverse wildlife, from deer and foxes to a nesting pair of bald eagles.

Michelle’s journey into park management began in high school, inspired by a chance encounter with park rangers at her family’s restaurant. She started working seasonally at an entrance station in 1989 and went on to earn a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing from Colorado State University. While her degree was unconventional for a park ranger, Michelle’s passion for education and public engagement led her to test into a full-time role in 2001. Over more than two decades, she has built a career grounded in conservation, community engagement, and operational leadership.

Beyond her professional responsibilities, Michelle is deeply committed to community service and wildlife education. She has served as co-chair of education initiatives for Pheasants Forever, been a board member for multiple local organizations, and received recognition such as Citizen of the Year in Brighton, CO, and Ranger of the Year from Colorado Parks and Wildlife. Michelle’s philosophy is that working in park management is more than a job—it’s a way of life centered on preserving Colorado’s natural spaces for current and future generations.
