Ten minutes with Michelle

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to passion, determination, and a willingness to embrace change. When I find work that truly inspires me, my passion naturally fuels my commitment and drive. I also believe in remaining open to new opportunities and having the courage to pivot when my interests or circumstances evolve, allowing me to continue growing both personally and professionally.

02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I encourage young women to be intentional in everything they do. Invest genuine time and attention into every interaction, because personalization and meaningful relationships make a lasting difference. Whether you are working with students, families, colleagues, or clients, helping people feel heard, understood, and valued creates trust and leads to stronger outcomes. Purposeful effort and authentic engagement will always set you apart.

03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

In aviation, one of the greatest opportunities is expanding specialized safety training, particularly in Mountain Terrain and Proximity flying, to help reduce preventable accidents and better prepare pilots for challenging environments. In education consulting, there is a growing opportunity to provide comprehensive, long-term guidance for students and families through personalized planning, academic advising, workshops, and increased awareness of educational pathways that support long-term success.

04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values that guide me are integrity, compassion, generosity, and being fully present for others. I believe in serving as a good steward, treating people with kindness and respect, and always striving to understand situations from a broader perspective. Passion, empathy, and genuine care for the people I serve are central to both my professional work and my personal life.
