About Shelley
Outside of her professional leadership, Shelley is deeply rooted in faith, family, and community. A lover of Jesus and devoted member of her church, she finds strength and purpose in living out her faith daily and inspiring others to do the same. She is actively involved in the Women’s Club and is passionate about mentoring and inspiring the next generation — especially young women stepping into leadership. As a proud and hands-on mom, Shelley is closely involved in her daughter Callie’s life, from school activities to athletics and service opportunities, always leading by example. She thrives on building community, planning meaningful events, and bringing people together. In her personal time, you’ll find her outdoors — whether running before sunrise, soaking up sunshine, or anywhere near the water — as she believes some of life’s best moments happen outside, surrounded by the people she loves most.

01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to the many mentors and leaders who have poured into me over the years — individuals who took the time to guide me, teach me, challenge me, and inspire me to grow. Their belief in me helped shape the leader I am today. I am driven by a deep desire to make a difference and by a personal commitment to challenge myself every day to be better, both professionally and personally. I strive to lead by example — especially for my daughter — and to be someone she can look up to with pride. I am motivated to honor my parents, make them proud, and leave a lasting legacy rooted in integrity, service, and impact. I am also incredibly grateful to Scherer Construction for trusting me, believing in my vision, and giving me the opportunity to grow, lead, and serve alongside an exceptional team.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve ever received is to always keep moving forward — never give up, stay focused, and believe in yourself. I was reminded often that I am capable, even in moments of doubt, and that growth comes from continually challenging myself to do better and be better. Those words have stayed with me and continue to guide the way I lead, work, and show up every day.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Believe in yourself and don’t be afraid to take up space. This industry needs your perspective, your voice, and your leadership. Work hard, stay curious, and never stop learning — confidence comes with experience and preparation. Seek out mentors, ask questions, and surround yourself with people who challenge and support you. Most importantly, stay true to who you are. You don’t have to change yourself to fit in — your integrity, work ethic, and heart are your greatest strengths. Lead with purpose, show up consistently, and remember that you belong here.
