Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to a combination of passion, perseverance, and seizing opportunities as they arise. I’ve wanted to be an attorney since middle school, but life changes, including becoming a mother and getting married, led me to a different path in the private sector. Through networking, I was invited to join my current company, where I successfully managed a paralegal business for over 11 years, starting while navigating the challenges of being a new mom. More recently, I took a leap of faith by relocating across the country to Florida, and I am now exploring further growth by pursuing a master’s in Legal Studies.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women entering this industry is to be kind to yourself and not let self-doubt hold you back, as I know firsthand how easy it is to be your own toughest critic. Success requires confidence, resilience, and the ability to meet deadlines consistently. It’s also important to assert yourself effectively, especially when navigating high-pressure environments with attorneys or corporate professionals, and to remember not to take challenges or feedback personally.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

I am a lifelong learner who values growth and continuous development in both my professional and personal life. I believe in leading with kindness and treating everyone with respect, recognizing that regardless of position or title, we are all equal. I strive to create opportunities for others, support those around me, and approach every interaction from a place of empathy and understanding.
