After 33 years in finance, Weaver continues to bring experience, leadership, and a relationship-centered approach to her work, creating a lasting impact through the clients and colleagues she serves.
Her Interview
Ten minutes with Michelle
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute much of my success to the values I learned growing up from my mom, who raised me as a single mother. She taught me the importance of hard work, dedication, perseverance, and never giving up on your dreams. Those lessons have guided me throughout my career and my life.
I’m also incredibly grateful for my husband, who has always supported and encouraged me. Having someone who believes in you, supports your goals, and stands beside you through the challenges has meant so much to me. I believe my success is a combination of the foundation my mom gave me, my own determination, and the support of my husband along the way.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I have ever received is to always believe in myself and never give up. I have learned that dedication, perseverance, and confidence are essential to navigating challenges and achieving meaningful goals. You do not have to have everything figured out before moving forward; sometimes, the most important thing is simply to trust yourself, take the next step, and remain committed to the journey.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering the industry is to believe in yourself, maintain a positive attitude, and never give up on your dreams. Be willing to put in the effort and do what is necessary to grow, but never hesitate to ask questions, share your ideas, and make your voice heard. Most importantly, do not be afraid to step outside your comfort zone, because some of the greatest opportunities for growth come from taking on new challenges and believing in your ability to succeed.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges in my field right now is navigating AI as it continues to transform the way we work. I believe the opportunity lies in strengthening those relationships by demonstrating that clients can rely on me to understand their needs, solve problems effectively, and keep things moving forward. Building genuine trust and providing dependable, personal support will remain essential in an increasingly technology-driven environment.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values that are most important to me, both personally and professionally, are integrity, hard work, dedication, and treating people with respect. I believe in doing the right thing even when no one is watching, following through on my commitments, and always striving to grow and improve.
In my personal life, family, loyalty, faith, and relationships are especially important to me. I try to bring those same values into my career by being dependable, authentic, and someone others can trust and count on.
