Her Story

About Michelle

Michelle Wilson serves as Regional Business Manager for the Northeast United States at ShearCore, a division of Exodus Global, specializing in construction sales, dealer development, and customer relationship management. In her role, she works closely with dealers and customers to identify equipment solutions, maintain strategic accounts, conduct job site assessments, and recommend the right construction equipment for complex applications, including large-scale demolition and recycling projects. She also supports industry engagement through trade shows, marketing initiatives, and ongoing customer outreach.

With 12 to 15 years of experience in technical sales and the construction equipment industry, Michelle has developed extensive expertise in demolition, heavy equipment, industrial applications, and customer-focused solutions. Prior to joining ShearCore, she spent seven years with a competing organization, building a strong foundation in sales strategy, account management, and technical product support. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Organizational Management from Millersville University and Eastern University and maintains active professional memberships with the National Demolition Association, the Recycled Materials Association, and its Women in Recycling division.

Michelle attributes her success to the strong work ethic and values instilled by her father and grandfather, including treating every individual with equality, respect, and dignity. She carries these principles into her professional and personal life through integrity, dedication, and a commitment to building meaningful relationships. Outside of her career, Michelle supports her community through volunteer work with Laurel House in Norristown, Pennsylvania, the Rising Stars after-school program in Ambler, Pennsylvania, and the Mattie Dixon Food Bank in Ambler, Pennsylvania. She encourages young women entering the industry to work hard, embrace challenges, remain confident, and stay true to themselves while pursuing their goals.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Michelle

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to the strong foundation and values instilled in me by my father and grandfather. They taught me the importance of maintaining a strong work ethic, treating everyone with fairness and respect, and recognizing the value that each person brings. These principles have guided me throughout my career, helping me build meaningful relationships, approach challenges with determination, and remain committed to integrity in everything I do.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I have ever received is to never forget where I came from. Staying grounded, appreciating the experiences and people who helped shape my journey, and remaining connected to my values have been essential throughout my career. This perspective has allowed me to continue growing professionally while staying humble, authentic, and committed to treating others with respect.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women entering the industry is to work three times as hard as anyone else, remain resilient, and never allow challenges to discourage you. Every obstacle is an opportunity to learn, grow, and prove your capabilities. Most importantly, stay true to who you are, trust your abilities, and continue building your career with confidence, authenticity, and determination.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

The biggest challenges and opportunities in my field right now are closely tied to the economy and the uncertainty of the market. Rising fuel costs, energy expenses, and broader economic factors continue to impact businesses and create challenges when competing in a global marketplace. With some products manufactured in the United States and others produced internationally, navigating supply chains, pricing, and market demands requires flexibility and strategic planning. At the same time, infrastructure investments and initiatives such as the infrastructure bill present significant opportunities for growth, creating increased demand and new possibilities within the construction and heavy equipment industries. Successfully adapting to market changes while continuing to deliver value to customers will be essential moving forward.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values that are most important to me in both my work and personal life are integrity, respect, and treating every individual with dignity. While every business has goals and financial objectives, I believe true success comes from recognizing and valuing the people who contribute to that success. When employees, customers, and partners feel respected and appreciated, it creates stronger relationships, a more positive environment, and ultimately a healthier and more successful business. Prioritizing people is essential because the way we treat others directly impacts long-term growth and success.
