About Mikayla
Mikayla Griffey serves as a Claims Examiner and Adjuster at USAA, where she manages auto bodily injury claims from start to finish. She began her career in insurance in 2022 and advanced rapidly to her current examiner role. Griffey holds an Associates in Claims and an Associates in Claims Management while pursuing her CPCU credential. She is also completing her bachelor's degree with the goal of moving into leadership positions to mentor others. She attributes her success to believing that advancement is possible and maintaining an unrelenting willingness to learn and remain coachable, lessons she applied after receiving guidance from a mentor on navigating corporate environments. Previously, she volunteered at a women's shelter starting in 2022 and plans to resume that work.

01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to knowing that it's possible and believing that it's possible 100%, along with an unrelenting willingness to learn and be coachable. I listened closely to a mentor who shared advice on navigating corporate life, and I applied those lessons directly.
