About Mikayla
Mikayla O'Byrne is a Women's Health Product Sales Executive at Siemens Healthineers, where she partners with hospitals, outpatient imaging centers, and physician practices throughout New York to advance breast cancer detection through state-of-the-art mammography technology. Specializing in women's health imaging, she works closely with radiology leaders and clinical teams to provide solutions that improve diagnostic capabilities and support earlier detection of breast cancer. Her work reflects a commitment to combining innovative healthcare technology with meaningful patient outcomes.
Before joining Siemens Healthineers, Mikayla built a strong foundation in women's health sales at Hologic, where she supported breast biopsy procedures and skeletal health solutions as both a Clinical Account Manager and Radiology Sales Specialist. Earlier in her career, she gained valuable frontline clinical experience as a Medical Assistant and Patient Care Technician, giving her firsthand insight into patient care and healthcare operations. A graduate of the University of Pittsburgh with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science, she graduated Cum Laude, served as an undergraduate teaching assistant in chemistry, and was consistently recognized on the Dean's List.
Mikayla's dedication to women's health is deeply personal. Inspired by the loss of her grandmother to breast cancer that was not detected early enough, she is passionate about promoting education, awareness, and access to advanced screening technologies that can save lives. She approaches every professional relationship with integrity, honesty, and a strong work ethic—values instilled by her family and reinforced by her father's advice to pursue work she truly loves. Through her expertise, compassion, and commitment to early detection, Mikayla continues to make a meaningful impact in the fight against breast cancer.

02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering this industry is to keep your head up, stay confident, and never stop networking. Take the time to connect with people across different fields and explore a variety of opportunities. The more experiences and conversations you have, the more likely you are to discover what you're truly passionate about and build a career that is both meaningful and fulfilling.
03What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values that matter most to me in both my work and personal life are hard work, integrity, and honesty. I believe that consistently giving my best effort, staying true to my principles, and being honest in every interaction are the foundation of strong relationships and long-term success.
