Milissa Meckle

Milissa Meckle is a seasoned K–12 educator and Library Media Specialist with over 30 years of experience in education, instructional leadership, and library services. She currently serves at Center-Stanton Public School in Center, North Dakota, where she oversees library operations, supports digital literacy instruction, and teaches study skills to middle school students. In her role, she integrates educational technology and library systems to enhance student learning, strengthen research skills, and support curriculum delivery across grade levels.

Throughout her career, Milissa has built a strong foundation in both classroom instruction and library science. She began as an elementary teacher, instructing first and fourth grade, before expanding into library media services and academic coaching. She also advises student leadership programs such as National Honor Society and coaches academic competition teams, helping students develop critical thinking, leadership, and collaborative skills. In addition, she collaborates with regional networks of more than 20 libraries to support resource sharing and expand access to educational materials for students and the broader community.

Beyond her school responsibilities, Milissa is committed to lifelong learning, professional growth, and community engagement. She has expanded her expertise to include publishing, digital tools, and educational content creation, including authoring a student-focused life skills book that achieved Amazon Top New Release recognition. She is also actively involved in philanthropic efforts supporting animal welfare and agricultural youth programs. Milissa is widely recognized for her dedication to service, her adaptability in integrating technology into education, and her ongoing commitment to helping students and communities succeed.
