Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to God, my family, and hard work. I also focus on continuous learning by helping clients achieve their financial goals, which allows me to grow professionally while providing meaningful service.

Q

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I ever received was from my very first boss as I was starting in this industry. He told me that we just need to be authentic and not be carried away with what's going on in the world. For me, my understanding is that you just have to be yourself, and that you know, and that to always do what's right for everyone.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women entering this field would be to keep an open mind and to always do what's right. At the same time, be able to also have fun and have a work-life balance, because in this industry, it can get really overwhelming.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

The biggest challenge in my field would be handling a difficult client. It's not for everyone, I would say. There are times where you don't want to deal with it, but in your position, you're gonna have to. Not everyone is happy with what's going on with the market, so you're gonna get the brunt of that from time to time, and you just need to be able to have patience and understanding, and put yourself in that situation if you are at the receiving end. As for opportunities, you get to build relationships with not just the clients, but also with third parties like the custodians that we work with, the other representatives involving the clients' overall financial picture like their CPAs. We get to have relationships with them and other people involved in building relationships.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values most important to me are work ethics and making sure that I'm in compliance, especially when dealing with financial transactions. I'm consistently compliant with all the rules and regulations because there can be a gray area, and you don't want to be in that. It's always about the work ethic.
