Her Interview

Ten minutes with Mina

01What do you attribute your success to?

I would say curiosity has always been part of my personality. I am always open to learn something new as well. I'm curious about people, I approach social interactions with an open and authentic mindset to learn about what them.

My curiosity got me into different environments where I could learn from others. It also taught me a lot about myself and made me grow.

People perceive when you’re authentic in your interactions and when you are, creates connection and trust. I think one of my core assets is to be genuine.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

One of the biggest career advices was from my dad. He was very committed to his work. His advice was to be committed to what you do. And true to your word. To be very intentional and passionate about what you do, and to honor your word, say what you mean and mean what you say, at all times.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Being curious is a good thing, and confident. I think as women, we're not taught to be confident in our professional capabilities. It’s okay to be confident because we can accomplish many things. Trust yourself, have the courage and be patient. Learn what you need to learn, be present. I had to learn to be confident myself.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

This is a male-dominated field, being a woman can be challenging. The way I approached that challenge was to ask other women- What do you do? How do you approach this and that? I took their advice and put it into practice. Now I feel more confident to be able to navigate on a daily.

As for opportunities, there are a lot of new things coming up. AI, for instance, is one of those, a big learning opportunity. Another challenge is worldwide in terms of supply chain.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

I'm a very honest, very transparent. Appreciating people in what they do is important. Everybody has a role to play. I respect every single member of my team and value their contribution to accomplish our goals.
