About Mindy
Mindy Lindheim has spent more than a decade in aviation as an aircraft sales broker and professional pilot. She entered the industry through aircraft sales and has maintained an active role as a pilot throughout her career. In June of this year, she became president and CEO of a flight school in Gainesville, Georgia, after acquiring the business. Lindheim earned her aviation degree and pilot's license at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, Florida. She also holds an ATP, the highest pilot rating available in the United States. Lindheim oversees daily operations at the flight school while continuing her work as a full-time sales broker, and she flies as needed for client demonstrations, maintenance moves, and deliveries. She is passionate about creating content on social media and co-hosting an aviation podcast with her husband to build community within the industry.

01What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Be yourself and not get lost in trying to match the masculine energy around you. Women bring a lot of really great things to the table in aviation, and a great new perspective of even the business side, the whole way to how we fly. Women generally are a lot more gentle on the controls, and they're very methodical, and they're not ego-driven, and they're really great qualities of women who are aviators, so I would just want them to feel comfortable in their own skin, even if the flight school is full of a bunch of dudes to just still be themselves.
