What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to building strong relationships both internally and externally. Within my organization, cross-functional collaboration allows me to learn different perspectives, support others, and continue growing, while externally I partner with providers and healthcare professionals to understand their needs and help facilitate meaningful improvements. I focus on open communication, especially in a complex healthcare system where change isn’t always possible due to regulations, and I’ve been fortunate to receive feedback that my efforts have helped support provider success. Ultimately, everything I do is driven by the shared goal of improving outcomes for members and patients.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering the industry is to lean into the strengths you naturally bring to leadership, such as adaptability, perspective, strong prioritization, and an ability to lead with empathy and collaboration. At the same time, be honest with yourself about the realities of balance between career ambition and personal life, and understand that there will be seasons where one takes priority over the other. I’ve learned that there is no perfect formula—rather, it’s about making intentional choices that align with your current stage of life and being willing to adjust as circumstances change. Growth comes through experience, mentorship, and reflection, and over time you’ll find your own way of integrating both your professional goals and personal values in a way that feels sustainable.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
My core values center on gratitude, humility, and appreciation. As a leader, I try to take a step back, recognize the bigger picture, and remain thankful for where we are, while also understanding that we cannot “boil the ocean” in a complex healthcare system. I’ve learned that meaningful progress often comes from creating positive momentum where you are, rather than trying to fix everything at once, and that focus is key to moving forward. I also value being open to continuous learning and collaboration, as working across perspectives not only strengthens my own growth but ultimately supports our shared goal of improving outcomes for patients and members.
