The best career advice I’ve ever received is to stay committed to work that truly makes a difference—and to seize the opportunity to take the lead when it arises.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I would advise young women entering my industry to say yes to opportunities, even if they feel intimidating at first. It’s important to build strong organizational skills early on, stay curious, and continually deepen your understanding of the science behind the work. Above all, let your passion guide the direction of your career.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
Some of the biggest challenges in my field include balancing client expectations with study budgets, navigating the complexities of remote work while maintaining cross-team efficiency, and coordinating sample logistics and lab communication across global timelines. At the same time, there are exciting opportunities. There is a growing demand for specialized research in areas such as dermatology and liver diseases. Platforms like Influential Women are helping to increase visibility for clinical research professionals, and there are opportunities to step into leadership roles, with the long-term goal of becoming a Director of Clinical Research.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values that are most important to me in both my work and personal life include accountability and professional integrity. I place a high value on collaboration and clear communication, particularly in cross-functional and client-facing settings. Outside of work, I am passionate about animals and committed to giving back to the community through volunteering.
