Her Interview

Ten minutes with Miranda

01What do you attribute your success to?

I would say my hard work, but also starting out advancement always comes with a little bit of doubt. I credit the role as technical recruiting manager at Aerotech as my first leadership role, and their hiring manager for betting on me.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

A resume does not define you at all. A resume is a piece of paper that has limited key points on it. It doesn't go beyond that. When you really get in talks with somebody, you know exactly where their mind is, what their goal is.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Don't wait until you feel ready to pursue the career you want. You have to invest in yourself, you also have to keep learning. Don't let rejection convince you you aren't qualified or capable.

04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Integrity, doing the right thing even when no one is watching. Being very authentic. Accountability and emotional intelligence in professional and personal life. Resilience, getting back up and how you handle it and keep going.
