Her Interview

Ten minutes with Mirela

01What do you attribute your success to?

I used to worry about everything, but after going through health issues myself, I learned to slow down, take one day at a time, enjoy, be thankful for everything we have in life from health, family, anything. I don't have control over everything so my goal is to be thankful and let it be.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

Be humble and try to learn from people, try to read, try to expand. Be open because a lot of people hold back. Be yourself, be humble, and try to help people, be a human being first of all before anything.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

When you start working you probably will feel like oh my god you're gonna freak out, you're gonna be nervous, you feel like you don't know anything. My advice will be like you got this, you go there and do your thing because you have it. It's on you. Don't be nervous. Do the best you can. Be yourself and you're kind and you give what you got, people appreciate that more than anything. It's a learning journey, every day you learn something.

04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Trust is very important to me. If I work for someone I give my 100% but I want them to trust me, respect me, and value me. Being present and 100% engaged with people because they need you there, you have to leave personal stuff at the door and smile and be there for them.
