Her Story
About Mirella
Mirella Macchiavello serves as a Business Advisor at Bank of America, where she works directly with small business clients to help them achieve their goals. With 13 years in the field, she transitioned from consumer banking after recognizing the need to guide clients, especially in the Latin community, through business processes and credit building in their own language. Her path began in Peru as a law student before moving to the United States, where family responsibilities led her to pursue banking as a career through Bank of America trainings and courses after completing two years of college. Mirella is actively involved in professional networks at the bank, serving on the board of OLA, the Latin Community Networking group, and supporting the LBGPT and Asian communities. She attributes her success to her drive and willingness to step out of her comfort zone, moving across different markets and working with various executives. Outside her role, she volunteers with Girl Scouts for her daughter's troop and supports foster kids, particularly teenagers seeking stability.
Her Interview
Ten minutes with Mirella
01What do you attribute your success to?
My drive and desire to grow. I am not afraid to move to different markets and work with different executives and bosses. The drive that I have to just do it makes the difference in my career.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Be curious and get out of your comfort zone. If you sit at the desk all day waiting for things to come, you're not going to make it. You need to go out there and find your dream.
