Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to consistency, integrity, and a genuine commitment to people. I’ve learned that when you lead with purpose and treat others with respect, success naturally follows. Every role I’ve held has taught me the value of listening first, acting with empathy, and making decisions that elevate both people and performance.

Q

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best advice I’ve ever received was, “Stay ready so you don’t have to get ready.” It taught me the value of preparation, continuous learning, and self-belief — especially as a woman navigating leadership spaces. I’ve carried that mindset throughout my career, and it’s opened doors I never thought possible.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I would advise young women entering HR to always take a step back and consider the full picture before making decisions. Stay neutral, remain fair, and trust your instincts when evaluating situations. Balancing empathy with objectivity is key to effective and ethical human resources leadership.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

In the construction and contracting industry, one of the biggest challenges is attracting and retaining skilled talent in a competitive market. But that also presents an opportunity — to invest in workforce development, leadership pipelines, and inclusive cultures that make this industry a place where people can build lifelong careers. By focusing on people, we can strengthen both the company and the communities we serve.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values most important to me in both my work and personal life are balance, wellness, and consistency. I believe in approaching my professional responsibilities with integrity and fairness, while also making time to recharge, stay active, and enjoy life outside of work. Maintaining this balance helps me bring focus, energy, and clarity to everything I do.
